Montenegro needs compromise

In an interview for Pobjeda daily, MP and spokesperson of the Democratic Party of Socialists, DPS, Milos Nikolic, assesses that Montenegro needs a compromise right now, and it’s to be reached by the agreement of all political subjects, that is, the ruling majority and opposition.

Asked whether he expects that Aleksa Becic is going to invite them for negotiations over appointments in the prosecution in August, Mr Nikolic says that “a new round of talks between the government and opposition is scheduled for the first week of August”. He believes they could find a solution for overcoming the current situation

On the DPS’ initiation of voter distrust of the government, he says that they’re monitoring the current situation and crisis the parliamentary majority is coping with but still don’t know what exactly to do. The DPS, according to him, has several possible options and is ready to respond to all scenarios that may occur. It’s likely, Mr Nikolic claims, that the tenure of this incompetent clero-nationalist government is about to end and that Montenegro will return to its values and its road – European road.
