Montenegro has seen a record-breaking number of coronavirus cases in one day with 216 new infections. Another three deaths have been reported as well, and patients were from the town of Gusinje, Tivat and Pljevlja. In addition, 40 people beat the virus. There are currently 1.451 active cases in Montenegro, i.e. 230 infections per 100K people.
“Labs of the Public Health Institute pulled 839 samples for PCR testing in the last 24 hours. New cases are from Podgorica 73, Nikšić 43, Berane 40, Bijelo Polje 22, Rožaje 13, Pljevlja 8, Budva 4, Mojkovac 3, Herceg Novi 3, Bar 2, Cetinje 2, Andrijevica 1, Gusinje 1 and Tivat 1,” the Institute stated.
The total death toll from the coronavirus from the beginning of the outbreak now stands at 112.
