Montenegro’s membership in the NATO Innovation Fund will cost our country €3.14m or €1.61m a year, depending on the model adopted by member states, according to data from the outgoing government, Pobjeda reports.
“So far, two models of Fund financing have been proposed, one of which was for each of 21 members, to allocate a total amount of funds, which would mean that Montenegro would allocate about €47.6m for the period of 15 years, or about €3.14m per year. Another model, the so-calledproportional model, by which Montenegro would allocate €24m for the period of 15 years, or €1.61m per year, measured by the GDP of the members”, the Government says in a statement.
The meetings to follow will finally define the way of managing the Fund as well as the way of financing the Fund.
The members will agree on these topics before the ministerial meeting, scheduled for April 2022.
