MPs adopt agreements with the UAE

Montenegro’s Parliament has approved two key agreements with the United Arab Emirates. The first, an agreement on economic cooperation between the two governments, was adopted with 50 votes in favour and 10 against, out of 60 MPs present.

The second, a bill ratifying the agreement on cooperation in tourism and real estate development, also passed, receiving 46 votes in favour, 10 against, and 4 abstentions. Notably, MPs from the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) did not participate in the vote.

While the economic cooperation deal faced little public criticism, the tourism and real estate agreement attracted more attention and debate.
