Milan Ljesnjak from Berane surrendered to police on Monday, Dnevne Novine newspaper learns. He is suspected along with Dejan Deletic (25) of planting an explosive device under the car which was allegedly used by the convict Radojica Zekovic after he was released from prison.
Deletic was arrested on Saturday.
The murder was prevented after citizens reported to the police that two masked men had set a suspicious device under a car.
According to police, Deletic was close to the so-called Skaljari criminal clan. He and Ljesnjak are Stevan Stamatovic’s bodyguards. Stamatovic is also close to this criminal group.
Zekovic, who was the target of the attack, is serving 17 year prison sentence for a double murder in the Jadranska Straza case. He is close to the rival Kavac criminal clan.
