Mutual accusations over catching fish with generators

The Perjanik NGO submitted to CdM a footage of poaching, which, as they claim, was recorded in the Skadar Lake National Park over the past days. They also claim to know who used a generator to catch fish, which, as they say, should have been prohibited by those who actually assisted in the process.

“And it happened in the middle of the day, 500 metres away from the gamekeeper’s house. First of all, we urge management of the National Park to submit the data on the job scheme in their company as well as the data on the fight against poaching in the last three months,” the NGO says.

The CdM portal asked the National Parks of Montenegro whether they knew something about this case and if they planned to investigate further.

“The “NGO sector”, as you stated in your questions, is a completely indefinite entity, so we’d be grateful if you could provide us with the information of a concrete non-governmental organization. If it’s the one we assume it is, we can inform you that it’s outraged at this management of the National Park because they were deprived of the illegal competencies the ex-director, Elvir Klica, gave them,” the National Park responded.

Recall, generators for catching fish in Montenegro are strictly forbidden.
