Nearly 150,000 citizens of Montenegro have taken out loans in banks, and their total debts amount to almost €1.5bn, according to data from the end of March this year, submitted to the RTCG portal by the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG).Citizens’ debts are almost 6% higher than a year earlier.
According to monthly data submitted by banks to the CBCG at the end of March this year, total loans amounted to €3.4bn, while loans include gross loans and receivables less interest and accruals.
Out of that amount, €1.49bn (43.36%) of total loans refer to credit indebted individuals (with entrepreneurs) – 146,000 of them, the CBCG says.
