The construction site of the Bar-Boljare highway stretching from the Adriatic coast to the border with Serbia recruits around 1.100 people and works are soon to be completed on the section from the main city, Podgorica, to the town of Kolašin.
“Of this number, 400 workers are from China. Around 100 of them are from Montenegro and the countries of the region, and are engaged by the CRBC. The remaining part are workers of a subcontractor,” Jovan Ivanović of the French-Italian consortium INGEROP-GEODATA says.
According to Mr Ivanović, works have intensified, particularly on the sections I and II (first 10 km of the route).
Thanks to favorable weather conditions, favorable for construction as well, it’s expected that works on the remaning highway sections should also intensify. Nearly 95% of works have been completed so far, he noted.
