Investigators are focusing on unsolved murders

In an interview with Pobjeda, Slavko Stojanovic, Montenegrin police director, says police operations in the past period contributed to weakening and cracking down on Montenegrin criminal groups.

“Over the past period, we could witness horrific murders committed in front of citizens. Even though the last year represented a huge challenge for police officers, security situation in Montenegro is being stable”, Stojanovic noted.

He said the National Police has been continuously analyzing the situation in terms of revealing, preventing and fighting crime, particularly the organized crime, which is of the international character.

“In 2017, the international police cooperation with the police administrations of other countries contributed to solving serious offences,” Stojanovic stressed.

He pointed out that work, sacrifice and achieved results of police officers clearly indicate the National Police has capacities to solve murders and prevent a significant number of those planned.
