Misteriozna putovanja

Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services, SMATSA, will lease an area of 20.000 square meters on the hill Vrsuta near Bar, where a new radar for the supervision and control of air traffic over Montenegro will be installed.

“Installation of radar system on Vrsuta is one of the projects within the modernization program that will be implemented in the next five to six years, with the aim of increasing level of safety and security of air traffic”, said Lazo Maksimović, deputy director of SMATSA.

SMATSA will pay 22.000 EUR per month for the lease of the location.

This radar system will cover the entire air space of Montenegro and part of the Adriatic Sea.  The new radar will be connected to the military operation center at the airport in Golubovci so that the radar image from Vrsuta can be directly directed to the Army of Montenegro and NATO.
