The sitting of the Niksic NOVA Committee was interrupted after a fierce quarrel between the committee member Ilija Miljanic and the party officials Budimir Aleksic and Strahinja Bulajic, Dnevne Novine reports citing well-informed sources from this party.
The sitting was held on Friday. According to DN, the dispute arose over certain committee members’ dissatisfaction because no new leadership was elected in municipal committees.
The quarrel all but turned into a serious incident.
When Miljanic left the session, several committee members followed his example.
After that, the sitting of the party meeting was interrupted.
The developments in the Niksic committee have caused great concern among the party leadership, since it is one of the strongest committees, which gave numerous party officials.
Local NOVA leaders in Niksic have been ordered to calm down the situation as soon as possible. However, for the time being, it is uncertain when and whether the session of the Municipal Committee will continue.
