There is no dilemma – Stevan Jovetic will be playing for Monaco FC in the new season wearing No 10 jersey.
After leaving Belgrade-based Partizan, captain of the Montenegrin national team played in England, Italy, Spain. Now he will be in France playing for the club that has won state championship eight times.
It has been a long saga about Jovetic leaving Inter. He had invitations from Sevilla, Villarreal, Spartak Moscow, Brighton, Newcastle, Galatasaray… The youngest captain in the history of Partizan wanted to return to Andalusia, the club he successfully played for in spring.

However, there was a €3m issue that separated Seville and Jovetic – the club did not want to pay €13m, although the Montenegrin played had brilliant six months in the team…

Monaco joined the race for the player and had the most concrete offer. Therefore Jovetic will become part of the team that delighted Europe last year.
Monaco managed to get ahead of the seemingly inexorable Paris Saint-Germain and win the France championship. In the Champions League he reached the semi-finals, when it was stopped by Juventus.

Monaco is a club of great tradition. It won eight national championships. It also played in the 2004 Champions League final, when it was beaten by Jose Mourinho’s Porto.
It also had famous players in its ranks, including Kylian Mbappe, Thierry Henry, David Trezeguet, George Weah, Jurgen Klinsmann, Radamel Falcao…
