No disagreement between Djukanovic and Markovic about the Port of Bar

There is no disagreement within the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) about privatisation of the Port of Bar, although certain media want to present the situation in that way, DPS deputy president and prime minister, Dusko Markovic, said after the PM question hour in the Parliament. DPS president Milo Djukanovic said on Sunday that he supported privatisation of the Port of Bar, whereas the government decided on Monday not to sell the company for the time being.

The Polish OT Logistics company was the only bidder at the tender call and it offered about €8.5m for a 30% stake. During the negotiations, the purchase price was increased from €0.4169 to €0.50 cents per share, but OTL reduced its three year investments from the initial €17m to €14m.

“There are no differences in our positions. We haven’t stopped the privatisation. Not because the bidder was not a credible company – it is credible, but because we are not satisfied with the offer,” Markovic explained.
