Central headquarters of the police, whose director is Slavko Stojanovic while the security will be coordinated by the head of the Police department in Podgorica Jovica Recevic, is determined to prevent any potential attempt of creating chaos and disturbing public order.
Police said that they are physically ready and technically equiped to respond on this security challenge of high risk and that, according to the situation, they might also use elite special units, water cannons and combat vehicles for restoring the order if necessary.
According to unofficial information, police received precise instructions from the prosecution on how to treat protesters in cases of incidents.
“Instructions are also meant for parliament members, who will be treated just like all the other citizens on the protests, and if they would make any action that has elements of criminal activity, they will not have the opportunity to invoke their immunity”, it was unofficially said to Vikend newspaper.
In Police directorate they added that depending on the need and estimations, some streets in Podgorica might be closed for traffic.
