Volleyball player Ljubomir Popovic has had a great year. His team won twice, he played in our national team, became a father and is likely to play qualifications for the next world championship. He talked about his life for CdM, and former teammate Bobo Radovic, who died too soon and didn’t see the biggest success of club from Bijelo Polje.
“This success is special because it was done with my own people, for a city I started training in”, Popovic said.
Volleyball has been gaining popularity in Bijelo Polje.
“But basketball and football still hold first place. People gave us a lot of support during the last months”.
It is always easier to win a trophy than to defend it, which is why Popovic does not want to make any promises before the next season.
Popovic finds energy and inspiration in his family. He has recently become a father, and says his son is the best thing that has happened to him.
