Acting head of the Protection and Rescue Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Miodrag Besovic has told Dan that in the upcoming fire season, the Directorate will be able to count on only one plane to fight fire.
He has explained that the reason for that is unfortunately an incident that happened recently during the firefighting when one plane was damaged for that purpose.
“We are making every effort to get the plane ready as soon as possible. To extinguish the fire during this season, we will have at our disposal the resources of the Army of Montenegro with three helicopters, as well as about 200 members of the army”, Besovic has explained.
