The Parliament of Montenegro has once more adopted the laws adopted on 29 December last year, which President Đukanović returned for reexamination. The voting was 41 in favour, zero against, and zero abstentions.

The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Aleksa Bečić, stated that the scandalous intention of the Constitutional Court is clearly manifested in its act which, for the first time in the Montenegrin parliamentarian history, has required from the Parliament to submit in only 15 days a response on the submitted proposal for constitutional review of a Parliament’s document. He added that the timeframe for such an issue has never been shorter than 30 days.
“If we keep in mind that the Constitutional Court previously acted upon the proposal of the MPs of DPS-SDP-SD-BS to initiate proceedings for constitutional review of the decision on the establishment of the Comprehensive Electoral Reform Committee, the intentions of this court have become obvious,” Mr Bečić said.
