Namely, in the decision to release Pavicevic to freedom Basovic wrote that requirements of the Law for criminal investigation that prosecutor had addressed in his demand to keep the former mayor in custody have not been met. However, with a complaint filed to his decision, Special prosecution office wrote that the court is obstraucting prosecution’s job.
Pavicevic was arrested yesterday for the second time under suspicion that with cooperation of former director of the Office for construction of Bar (ZIB) Danijela Krkovic damaged the budget of the municipality of Bar for approximately three million euros.
Let us remind you that Pavicevic was arrested after the council of Podgorica’s Higher court cancelled the decision of the judge for investigations Miroslav Basovic who decided that there is no basis to keep the former mayor of Bar in custody, the decision after Pavicevic was released to freedom.
Attorney of the arrested former director of ZIB, lawyer Srdjan Ljeskovic, and her brother Dejan Krkovic denied the informaion that was reported by some media that Krkovic is a cooperating witness in this case.
„Family has no knowledge that she’s negotiating about the status of a cooperating witness in this case. We even received some calls from certain journalists acquainted with the case who told us that it’s not true that Danijela will negotiate with the prosecution”, said Krkovic.
