“The Municipality has provided €45,000 for 7km of the road Nozica-Brskut and reparation, building and tamping, i.e. preparing for paving the remaining section of the local road Stravce-Brskut also 7km long,” the President of the Local Community Brskut, Vukman Darmanovic, said for “Dnevne Novine”.
The works on reparation of this road began about a month ago, and they were preceded by organised action of locals who cleaned up the trees on the section Nozica-Brskut of the road.

The Capital City made a contract with the Army of Montenegro on building the section Stravce-Brskut and tamping, i.e. preparation for paving, because the Army does not work according to the market system, but only covers the expenses and allowances.
With the new road, Brskut will get another connection with Podgorica, and residents of the settlement of Stravce will be closer to the centre of the village.
So far, the local people used to travel 80km via Podgorica to reach their cemetery. Now they will have a road leading directly to the cemetery and the local will reach it more quickly since it is only 5-6km away.
