Hundreds of people traditionally gathered to enjoy delicacies of Crmnica region, famous for home-made wine and bleak.
President of Local Community Crmnica Đuro Pejović confirmed the long-awaited Festival of wine and bleak would finally happen on this weekend.
“The cancellation was due to the reconstruction of old bridge dating back to King Nikola. Then we had extremely bad weather conditions”, Pejović said, speaking for RTCG.
Pejović spoke about this year’s presentation and said that guests would be able to try wine from Crmnica and famously prepared fish, bleak from Skadar Lake.
“We had a little bit of trouble with bleak this year, because March is not a really favourable month for bleak production. But we have prepared for this event during January and February”, Pejović said.
According to him, 31 presentations of wine will be made, and tomorrow at 14:00h, the best wine presentation will be awarded.
There are about 70 market stands, and the best song about wine has been chosen, authored by Dragan Vugdelić. The guests will be entertained by a pop musician Jelena Tomašević on the first day, and the day after they will hear a concert of Lexington Band. Numerous folk ensembles will perform as well.
