PKCG: Electronic fiscalization is not a solution

Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, PKCG, believe the draft Law on electronic fiscalization in the trade of goods and services in the end won’t resolve the grey-zone issues. They are convinced that the proposed law should be upgraded, that is, the communication between the decision makers and the real sector should be enhanced in order to expect better fiscal discipline.

The newly established system will only push up the costs, especially in small and medium-sized enterprises, as they will have to buy new equipment and acquire digital certificate.

They said: “Certain solutions given in the draft law do not correspond with the existing regulations. Therefore, they should be either corrected or amended.”

Members of the Chamber of Commerce also expressed concern that the introduction of the new system (from 1 June 2019) would trigger difficulties bearing in mind the next summer season, so they proposed the enforcement of the law to be postponed.

The Chamber of Commerce, along with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration, organized a meeting in order to tackle some issues concerning the Draft Law on electronic fiscalization in the trade of goods and services
