The Government of Montenegro revealed yesterday details of the project of the construction of an exclusive tourist complex in Čanj, worth €77 million. The complex is expected to create as many as 241 jobs.
The investor is ‘Amma Resort’ Company, headquartered in Podgorica, and the ultimate owner is ‘Čelebić’ Group.
According to the document, Amma Resort submitted in October application for tender, with accompanying documentation: Business plan, Revised main project, founding enactments and other documentation relevant to the project.
Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism has carried out an analysis of the submitted documentation in relation to the criteria stipulated in the Decision and Public tender.
“The documentation states that the planned investment encompasses construction of the hotel complex Amma Resort, in line with mixed operation model, with five stars in Čanj. Hotel complex will have a total capacity of 483 accommodation units, 241 of which will be in the hotel itself, and another 242 units in eight luxurious structures-villas”, the Information states.
The entire investment is estimated at €77.01 million (VAT included).
With the aim of confirming the availability of financial resources for the implementation of the project, the applicant has submitted corporate guarantee issued by ‘Čelebić’ LLC as founder of Amma Resort, worth €15 million in favor of the Government of Montenegro.
The documentation also contains application for the construction of hotel complex, of 16 October 2020 and Minutes on the inspection supervision of 30 October 2020.
It has been stated that the application was submitted in line with Article 91 of the Law on Spatial Planning and Building Structures.
On the other side, Business plan states that the investment return is expected in 11 years and 9 months from the moment the hotel starts working. The government has also submitted an Opinion which points out that this project is important for Montenegrin tourism.
