Pljevlja are the seventh most polluted city in Europe excluding Turkey, The Guardian reports based on the World Health Organisation data.

With 81 micrograms per cubic metre, Tetovo in Macedonia has the worst PM2.5 air pollution in Europe. It is followed by Tuzla (BiH) – 65 micrograms per cubic meter, then Skopje (Macedonia) – 45µg/m3, Zywiec (Poland) – 43 µg/m3, Dimitrovgrad (Bulgaria) and Pljevlja (Montenegro) – 42 µg/m3 respectively, Curb (Poland) and Bitola (Macedonia) 40µg/m3 respectively, Wodzislaw Slaski (Poland) 39µg/m3.
The most polluted city in the world is Iran’s Zabol with 217µg/m3 of PM2.5 particles. It is followed by Gwalior (India) –176µg/m3, Allahabad (India) – 170µg/m3, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) – 156µg/m3 and Al Jubail (Saudi Arabia) – 152 µg/m3.
