Prime Minister, Duško Marković, visited earlier today the construction sites of the future Đalovića Cave tourist complex and told the residents of the Bijelo Polje that the project worth more than €19 million will make this part of Montenegro world-famous and create new job and development opportunities.
“We are starting only one in a range of projects related to the valorization of the Đalovića Cave, a state project worth more than €19 million.”
The Prime Minister recalled that the reconstruction of the 9 km long Bistrica – Gubavač road, worth €5 million, is underway and that works have been agreed on the construction of a visitor center with accompanying projects that include regulation of the Bistrica riverbed.
“At the same time, we have contracted the works on the arrangement of the Đalovića Cave, worth around €4.5 million. The installation of the cable car from the Podvrh Monastery to the Đalovića Cave is going great and within set deadlines, the final works on the Bistrica – Podvrh Monastery road are about to be completed, and we expect asphalting soon. On 15 May 2018, we said that we would start and finish these projects. Today, I am pleased to confirm that we have fulfilled what we promised. … People will come to Bistrica to visit the Đalovića Cave.”
The oldest Bistrica resident, a 93-year-old retired teacher, Mr Milisav Đurović, thanked PM Marković on behalf of the locals, saying that Bistrica had become a large construction site, that almost 100 Bistrica residents have already been employed on the construction sites of the Đalovića Cave tourist complex and that the opening of the complex will bring new development opportunities.
President of the Municipality of Bijelo Polje, Mr Petar Smolović, thanked the government for its commitment to the development of the north of the country.
