Podgorica Census Commission has informed CdM that the payments for the second tranche of enumerators, i.e. daily wages and expenses, were prepared, while the expenses of the instructors were paid a few days ago.
The Commission has told CdM this in response to the question of why all enumerators who worked in Podgorica have not yet been paid compensation for the work done, and when it will be done.
As the Commission explains, it submitted a list of enumerators and instructors and publicly announced them before the start of the census, because that was a condition for its start.
“However, in order for enumerators and instructors, as well as other participants in the census, to be paid, it is necessary for MONSTAT to submit the calculation to the Census Commission, which MONSTAT did on 30 January 2024 in the evening hours, with an amendment carried out on 31 January 2024”, the Commission explains.
This work, it points out, requires a certain amount of time, due to the number of people to whom payments need to be made.
Enumerators can expect their earnings soon, it is noted.
