In an interview with Dnevne Novine, the head of the Podgorica Civil Protection and Rescue Service Andrija Cadjenovic summarised the service’s achievements in 2017. He said that it was one of the most difficult years having in mind number of fires in the city.
Among other things, he said that the Podgorica firefighters were awarded by the US Embassy in Montenegro. In addition, the US Vice President Mike Pence met Cadjenovic and commended all the firefighters in Podgorica. Cadjenovic also said that next year the Civil Protection and Rescue Service would get a special firefighting vehicle for swift interventions from the US Department of Defence.
