The Liberal Party is ready to say NO to DPS at the state level if it is established that the coalition government does not serve citizens, the party leader Andrija Popovic told CdM.
He makes it clear that the party will not stay in the coalition with DPS at all costs.
“If we conclude that the coalition government does not serve the citizens of Montenegro in a harmonious way, based on European values and standards, I do not see the purpose of staying in it,” Popovic told CDM.
However, although Liberal Party remains in coalition with DPS at the state level for the time being, the party is making new agreements at the local level. Thus, the “Cetinje Unity” was created, a coalition with the SNP ahead of the local elections in the old capital scheduled for 26 November.
Popovic claims that such a model could be applied in other municipalities.
