As Pobjeda daily writes, Mr. Jevrić admitted before the prosecutor that he took the money but was released to defend himself while on bail, awaiting the qualification of the offense that he will be charged with.
The disappearance of Jevrić was reported by workers of the Post Office when he did not show up for work and when they could not get in touch with him. Mr. Jevrić took the money on Thursday with the usual assignment to distribute it to the local pensioners. Management of the Post Office realized something strange was going on when they started receiving complaints from pensioners that they did not receive their monthly pensions.
The Post Office shortly informed the police that their worker disappeared, after which an intensive search for him was organized, fortunately ending in his apprehension.
