A tent camp is in preparation where first refugees from Syria, Afghatnistan, Irak, Lybia, Pakistan, Somalia and other countries would be settled.
On twentieth kilometer from Podgorica towards Albania, near the border crossing Bozaj, in previous days a long forgotten road has been cleared which leads to a spacious plateau where in case of need tents will be set up as well as containers for taking refugees in.
Services of the Capital set up a number of reflector lights and in next couple of days a reparation 200 meters of of the road should also be done, so the buses with refugees and trucks with food and other necessities could reach their destination easily. It is estimated that at this location Montenegrin authorities could temporarily provide sanctuary for 2.000 people.
Minister of labour and social welfare Dr Zorica Kovacevic said to Dnevne novine that everything is ready for taking in the refugees
It is for praise, as she emphasized, that citizens whose property is net to the border don’t demand any reimbursement and that they voluntarily offer their land for setting up a temporary camp. Director of the Directorate for refugeess and asylum seekers Zeljko Sofranac said a couple of days ago that since the refugees crisis started the governemnt is closely looking into the development of the situation, so that they’d be ready for eventual transfer of these people across Montenegro.
