Privileged producers received €9.5 million

Privileged producers were paid off €9.54 million in the first five months of this year thus being encouraged to produce renewable energy, suggest the data of the Montenegro Electricity Market Operator, COTEE.

Privileged producers generated 195.08 million kilowatt-hour this year. The money was paid off to 25 power plants owned by 14 companies.

Wind power plants

From May 2104 to June this year, privileged producers were paid €42.3 million for 848.6 million kilowatt hours.

This year, the company Krnovo Green Energy got the largest amount of money – €4.7 million -for the Krnovo wind power plant. In the first five months of the year, they produced 91.8 million of kilowatt-hours.

Executive director of this company from Nikšić is Mr Toni Karabatić, while the owners are Krnovo Holding I Masdar from Abu Dhabi.

The company received a total of €25.2 million for producing 484.4 million kWh since 2017.

Small hydro power plants

As for the small hydro power plants, a Berane-based company Hidroenergija Montenegro got the largest amount of money in the first five months of the year – €687.743 – which possesses seven small hydro power plants. The owners of the company are Mr Ranko Radović and Mr Oleg Obradović.

Kronor from Podgorica received €406.895 in the first five months for Jara and Babino Polje hydro power plants. The owners are Mr Željko Mišković, Mr Predrag Bajović and Mr Mladen and Nikola Rabrenović.

Igma Energy from Andrijevica, owned by Mr Igor Mašović, received €277.862.

Synergy Company was paid off €65.516 for Vrelo small hydro power plant, and the owners are Mr Željko Đuranović, Mr Vuk Rajković, Ms Dragana Bošković, Mr Tomaš Hajek, Mr Uroš Karadžić and Mr Radoje Vujadinović.

The company Small Hydro Power Plant Mojanska was paid €144.597 for three small hydro power plants – Mojanska 1, Mojanska 2 and Mojanska 3.

The Small Hydro Power Kutska, owned by Mr Slobodan Popović, Mr Igor Mašović and Mr Željko Savović, received €299.135.

As for the solar power plants, the company Eco Solar System, owned by Mr Božidar Jokić, received the largest sum of money – €32.392 – for their system in Martinići.
