Probably no census this year either

PM Krivokapić‘s Government is seriously considering the possibility of postponing the census planned for the Q4 of this year to 2022, Pobjeda has learnt. It would be the second census postponement, bearing in mind that the original plan was in April this year.

As a reason for postponing the census, Pobjeda sources close to the Government cite the coronavirus epidemic, due to which the countries of the region – Serbia, Croatia and North Macedonia – have already postponed their censuses to 2022, but also a short deadline for preparing the census from the moment the law is adopted.

Montenegro, unlike Croatia, Serbia and North Macedonia, still does not have the census law, although the countries in the region adopted all the necessary legal preconditions in their parliaments last year.
