Public figures supported ratification of the NATO accession agreement

Public figures, including a number of academics and professors supported the ratification of the Montenegro’s NATO accession agreement in the Parliament of Montenegro.

They point out that the ratification was a crucial and most important event after the independence restoration in 2006.

“We are convinced that Montenegro’s membership in NATO is a prerequisite for further progress of the country, its survival as an independent and sovereign state and building national institutions, in full compliance with state laws and subjectivity of Montenegro. We believe that, after joining the Atlantic Alliance, the state will faster and more decisively approach to reforms in all areas of society, particularly those that make Montenegro specific state area,” the statement sent to CdM says.

On this occasion the ratification have been supported by academics Vukic Pulevic, Pavle Pejovic, Sreten Perovic, Branko Radojicic, Mladen Lompar, Mihailo Buric, Gojko Kastratovic, Zlatko Bulic, professors Jasmina Nikcevic, Peko Nikcevic, Branko Baletic, Srdja Stankovic, Radoje Zugic, Slobodan Kovacevic, Zarko Radulovic, Ivan Buric, Rajko Cerovic, Slobodan Marunovic, Dragan Perovic, Arsenije Jovanovic, Milorad Pustahija, Slavko Mandic, Dragan Ilic, Slobodan Jovanovic, Stevo Vucinic, Ranko Djonovic, Vesko Gazivoda and Djuro Vucinic.
