Moscow’s efforts to destabilise Montenegro, or any other NATO member country, and influence their foreign policies would be thwarted. Although Putin wishes to restore Russia as a great global power and impose Russian influence throughout Eastern Europe, his ambitions in NATO member countries hit a wall, American analyst Janusz Bugajski told Pobjeda.
He said that NATO was the most efficient tool for countering the Russian threat.
“Moscow constantly produces misinformation about NATO in order to cover up its expansionist policy in Eastern Europe. However, behind this propaganda offensive, there is a real fear that the alliance will stop the Kremlin’s ambitions and weaken Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime”, says Bugajski.
