As it was said to Pobjeda by the director of national touristc organisation’s director (NTO) Zeljka Radak Kukavicic, touristic season is continuously growing in terms of the numbers of toursts.
According to the official statistical records of Monstat in June this year there were 181.111 tourists in Montenegro, which is 12.8 percent increase compared to June of 2014.
As she said, even the records of other institutions and organizations are also showing that this year’s touristic season is successful.
Success of the season is also followed by national airline company Montenegro Airlines that, as Ms. Radak Kukavicic said, transported around 231.000 passengers in first 6 months, which is a 4.8 percent increase compared to last year.
„This weekend on Zabljak there is 19 percent more tourists, while Kolasin has 18 percent more tourists compared to the same period last year. Hotel capacities’ occupation has increased by 24% in Zabljak, while Kolasin has an increase of 35 percent in this area compared to last year”, said Radak Kukavicic. .
When speaking about accomodation prices, hotels in Zabljak and Kolasin, as the director of NTO said, are starting at 22 euros for bed and breakfast, while prices of private accomodation are between 8 and 15 euros, depending on the location and category.
Records of Monstat published in June are saying that the structure of foreign tourists is that 39,8 percent of guests are from Russia, and second biggest group is from Serbia with 20.8 percent.
„We also have Sea Dance festival behind us that also had an increase of foreign visitors by 70%, and largest numbers came from countries of Western Europe, Great Britain, France, Netherlands and Belgium”, it was said by Radak Kukavicic.
