The president of the Niksic DPS committee Radivoje Lala Nikcevic is likely to be the new chairman of Niksic Municipal Assembly in the next four years, MINA news agency learns.
The inaugural session of the assembly is scheduled for Friday and the councillors will decide on the proposal then.
The municipal and executive committee of DPS also suggested that Veselin Grbovic should stay at the position of the president of the municipality. He was the first candidate on DPS electoral roll at the local elections held on 12 March.
Grbovic will propose who will hold other positions in the municipal administration, including the vice president.
At the last elections in Niksic, which were boycotted by the opposition, DPS won 37 out of 41 councillor seats in the municipal assembly.
According to the election results, Social Democrats won 2,324 votes, ie four councillor seats.
The turnout was 45%. There were 2,894 invalid ballots, ie 11%.
