Rakocevic: DPS won’t give up initiative, we have no contact with Democrats

Nikola Rakočević

DPS MP Nikola Rakocevic has said that the party will not give up the initiative for a vote of no confidence in the Government.

“Like countless times until now, the speculations against DPS have had no basis in truth. Tomorrow we will consider the initiative to overthrow the Government”, Rakocevic has told Gradska TV. He expects, as he says, that the MPs will vote no confidence in the Government.

“We are optimistic that we will find enough responsible MPs in the Parliament to solve the most important issue in Montenegro, to move the Government that serves other people’s interests away from the political scene and open up space for a new political circumstance”, Rakocevic has stated.

He says that there is no communication between DPS and other parties regarding the initiative on the fall of the Government of Dritan Abazovic, but that the parties will make the decision within their own bodies.

It would be hypocritical, he says, even for DF not to vote for Abazovic’s dismissal. He points out that he would be surprised if DF did something constructive in the national interest.
