The number of newly infected with Covid-19 is growing day by day in Niksic. According to information obtained by CdM, only in the previous days there were a lot of New Year’s celebrations, attended by hundreds of people in one facility, and vaccination certificates and negative entrance tests were not required. Yesterday, there were 2,960 new cases positive for Covid-19, of which 325 were registered in Niksic. It seems that the Montenegrin health authorities have failed this time, as never before.
According to CdM sources, people wait in Niksic Health Center for several hours for Covid testing, and many of them with symptoms give up testing, and many are probably positive. However, you can meet them in hypermarkets, because it is holiday time. By the way, the Niksic Health Center has only one testing point, so it seems that the citizens are left to themselves, because these days the message comes from the Minister of Health that “Omicron has milder clinical pictures and a lower hospitalization rate”.
Many patients who are positive for Covid-19 also complain about the lack of medicines in pharmacies for the treatment of Covid infections and other chronic diseases. The health care system has collapsed at every level, and dismissals have already begun.
