What’s happening to us would make a sick man even sicker.
Let us see, like we’re in the bar, ordering whatever comes to our mind; or even better, like we’re visiting the doctor and have a list of symptoms – what did we have over the past two years…
“Our Western allies” actively helped the clerical counter-revolution carried out by the “SPC” by doing nothing. They acted, or did not act, as if they did not understand what was happening in Montenegro. During that time, the actors of that counter-revolution publicly announced their admiration for Khomeini, pointing out that their achievement was greater than his: because they did it in the heart of the West.
When everything was over, when the “SPC” formed its government in Ostrog monastery, when Montenegro was put under the control of Aleksandar Vucic, “our Western allies” voted in the European Parliament that “SPC”, to which Montenegro was handed over, is practically the Russian formation for hybrid warfare.
“Our Western allies” allowed the Democratic Front to form the government – the party which Brits and high-ranking US officials marked as one of the actors of the coup attempt in Montenegro, orchestrated on the order and for the benefit of Russia.
They didn’t just allow it: the door was wide open for Krivokapic from London to Berlin. They hailed him as their winner – and he was it.
By recruiting their staff on high positions, the DF established significant control over the political and economic system of Montenegro. Which “our Western allies” so practically handed over to the hands of a (para)political organization whose role they themselves described as, in essence, a Russian creation for a hybrid war.
“Our Western allies” allowed direct meddling of Serbia in the election in Montenegro: just take a look at Niksic.
“Our Western allies” push Montenegro into the Open Balkan initiative, i.e. far from the European Union.
“Our Western allies” say nothing regarding the intention of the Vucic-Putin parliamentary majority to cause a political crisis of unprecedented proportions in Montenegro and, practically, introduce the country into an undeclared state of emergency, which means the suspension of democracy and the rule of the Democratic Front, the party formally declared as “undesirable to be a partner of the US”. Putin would thus succeed in destabilizing a Balkan country and expand the area of struggle.
How is this all possible?
The standard “sovereignist wisdom” implies the answer: “our Western allies” have no information, they’re slow in reactions, it’s up to us to “make them aware”…
In my opinion, the idea that I should inform the CIA about what’s going on here is hilarious and humiliating. To me, it’s like that joke describing a group of people from Goli Otok, exposed to torture, who, bloodied and beaten, ask themselves: “Does Comrade Tito know what they’re doing to us here”?
So, what’s going on? The answer is in the famous quote from Sherlock Holmes, saying: “How many times have I told you that when you eliminate the impossible, what remains, no matter how improbable, must be true”?
Therefore, in our case: How many times have I told you that when you eliminate the impossible (that “our Western allies” don’t know what’s going on), what remains (that we’re having the situation they – our Western allies – actually want), no matter how improbable, must be true?
Instead of allowing ideology and propaganda to blind you, so that you believe them more than your own eyes, I suggest that we consider the following situation, which, it seems to me, is not uninteresting.
During the Cold War, a good part of the European left turned to the USSR, i.e. Russia.
Some, such as the Red Brigades and the RAF, maintain an armed relationship with Russia. Some were recruited to work for the KGB. Some work for the KGB without knowing it. Great European intellectuals visit Moscow and present their impressions in books.
Moscow funds the World Revolution, Russian money gets in many hands: from Europe to Cuba.
The European left has objections to what’s happening in the USSR – they would do so many things differently. But that’s where the leftist utopia takes place. No matter how you look at it, Moscow represents a lighthouse of the global left.
Today, the European and American right supports Russia.
A part of the Western rightists maintains armed ties with Moscow. Some were recruited to work for the Russian secret services. Some work for them without even knowing it. European right-wing intellectuals see Moscow as a bastion of defense against liberal evils.
Moscow funds the western right, Russian money gets in many hands: from Podgorica and Banja Luka to Washington.
The European right has some objections to the Russian aggression against Ukraine – they would do it a little differently. But there, in Russia, right-wing utopia is taking place. No matter how you look at it, Moscow represents a lighthouse of the world right.
The transatlantic coalition of Trumpists, the European right and Putin is alive and kicking. That alliance is dangerous and very powerful – far more powerful than the alliance of the European left and the Soviets ever was or could be.
Here’s the thesis: Russia is the West. This is not an alternative to the West: it’s an alternative West. Russia is an inseparable part of the political dynamics of the West. Russia was the West even while it was communist (after all, no Eastern record was taken there, but a Western ideology, a text written by two Germans in London). Russia is still the West.
Russia is the symptom of the West.
