The airlines flying over the Montenegrin skies do not use Boeing planes. The representatives of these companies emphasized that the safety and security of passengers have always been of paramount concern. They also said that their companies strictly stick to the safety requirements prescribed by the relevant international institutions in the field of aviation safety.
Montenegro’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority banned all Boeing 737 Max 8 and Boeing 737 Max 9 from flying in or out of the country after the 737 Max 8 suffered its second fatal crash in Ethiopia last week.
As a precautionary measure, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, EASA, has published an Airworthiness Directive thus suspending all flight operations Boeing of 737 Max and 737 Max 9 in Europe. In addition, EASA has also published a Safety Directive suspending all commercial flight performed by third-country operators into, within or out of the European Union (EU).
