Social Democrats (SD) won’t leave Government if it grants concession on the Airports although they don’t agree with such decision, said yesterday member of this party, Mr Boris Mugoša in the session of the Committee for Economy.
“Citizens will decide in the next elections. If the decision is rendered in the Parliament, it would be different. We have been against concession from start. We tried to point at the irregularities by putting forward proposals. Many of them were eliminated, but there are still many left”, said Mr Mugoša during discussion on the Proposal for the Resolution on saving the Airports.
The proposal was endorsed by Mr Mugoša, Mr Raško Konjević and Mr Srđan Milić. Four DPS members were against it.
Mr Konjević said that their proposal stipulated the adoption of the conclusions requesting that the Government should stop concession on the Airports and oblige the management to invest money in their development.
The Airports have got €50 million in cash, profit of the company amounts to €10 million, just enough to take out €200 million loan and pay it back without problems thanks to increase in revenues.
He pointed out that companies interested in the lease were owned by other states.
“I don’t understand why we all think that there’s no company in Montenegro that could manage Airports”, stressed Mr Konjević.
Mr Mugoša also criticized Minister of Transport, Mr Osman Nurković, who said that the Government wasn’t looking for a partner because of money, but owing to the lack of managerial skills in the company.
