Janusz Bugajski, American analyst, says it’s evident Kremlin will try to affect the forthcoming presidential elections in Montenegro and therefore security services must be cautious. He also states we may expect deliberate provocations and blatant moves by the opposition to subvert the DPS’s presidential candidate.
Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington emphasizes Montenegrins must be careful as Moscow hopes for complete mayhem in the Balkans. „Kremlin will use media and misinformation to try to affect the 2018 Montenegrin presidential elections, as well as other ways of providing support to anti-Western and pro-Russian candidates. Montenegrin people must preserve their democracy and learn from tricks Putin uses in several other countries, including the US,“ claims Bugajski.
Reflecting on the issues referring to agreement on border demarcation between Kosovo and Montenegro, Bugajski blames weak Kosovo’s government.
