The Social Democrats MP, Mr Damir Šehović, has urged today Finance and Social Welfare Minister, Mr Milojko Spajić, to submit the document based on which the Government of Montenegro is going to carry out the so-called temporary financing.
Mr Šehović recalls that the government recently stated it’s not going to adopt the new budget law by the end of the year, but carry out temporary financing instead.
“To make such decision, as experts believe, there’s no legal basis if the budget revision hasn’t been adopted first. Temporary financing means that all consumer units will have at their disposal the same amount of money as in the previous year until the new law is adopted. However, the question is – how will funds be allocated to the consumer units, that is, the restructured ministries, until the adoption of the new budget law, having in mind that the existing budget law does not recognize these [restructured] ministries,” Mr Šehović emphasized.
This is exactly the reason why he required today to learn about the legal basis for this government’s decision.
