Seven projects cost almost 70 million EUR

Around  69,4 million  EUR has been invested into seven priority projects in the area of tourism sInce January.

According to the Report by the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development, the majority of the projects at the seaside is going according to the planned dynamics. Construction of the hotel “Crystal Riviera” in Petrovac continued after three years of pause and the Hotel “Plavi Horizonti” in Tivat will be replaced by the new hotel complex.

“As far as the projects planned for the north of Montenegro are concerned, it’s necessary to speed up the dynamics no matter the bad weather conditions which slowed down the conclusion of contacts with the constructors”, says one of the conclusions in the Report.

The most important infrastructure projects are Bjelasica and Komovi, region that is said to be the carrier of winter tourism in Montenegro. The Government chose three main locations and they will provide around 70 million EUR for them.

Prime Minister Duško Marković criticized the delay in the works since these projects enhance the infrastructure in north and stimulate the economy.

“I won’t allow this. Kolašin, Cmiljača and Mojkovac must be completed. We’ve got the money and your job is to get the job done. Take the money but work!”, said Marković.
