Several fires active but under control

There are several fires active in Montenegro today, but they are under control and do not jeopardise the population or facilities.

The Interior Ministry’s Directorate for Emergency Situations announced that a fire in Orasi was under control.

A fire in the Zagarac village near Danilovgrad is still active, but under control. There is currently an active fire in Studeno, but facilities are not endangered.

When it comes to the Municipality of Cetinje, there are active fires in the Lastva Cevska and Donja Markovina areas. Minor fires in Rvasi village were quickly extinguished.

It is reported that the Civil Protection and Rescue Service teams are on the ground helping locals in fighting fires.

“There are also two fires active in Cuci, as well as in the Donja Zaljud and Bata Cucka localities,” the statement said.

There is an active fire in Vilusi near Niksic.

There are no active fires in Ulcinj, Budva and Kotor.

A fire in Murici (Municipality of Bar) is under control.

When it comes to the Municipality of Tivat, there are active fires in Solila – Djurasevici, but it is under control.

In Herceg Novi there are active fires in the sites of Tici, Zabrdje, Petrovic and Stojkovic, Ravni Brijeg, Sitnica and Bjelotina.

It is said that the Ukrainian Antonov airplane is operating today in Donja Markova, Gornji Zagarac and Lastva Cevska.

Two pieces of Interior Ministry helicopter unit’s aircraft operated on Zanjice on Sunday and the fire was localised.

A Bulgarian helicopter was active in the territory of the Municipality of Bar, in the Murici and Besa villages, as well as in the territory of the Municipality of Podgorica, in the villages of Orasi and Goljemadi.

The two Israeli Air Tractors left Montenegro.
