Oncology patients, who came for their therapy yesterday morning – the ‘Taxol’ drug – were returned home, because it wasn’t available at the Clinical Center of Montenegro. The patients, who were prescribed Taxol as a weekly chemotherapy, were only told that it wasn’t available, without any further information. The Clinical Centre told that during December they received insufficient amounts of this drug compared to the claims regularly sent to Montefarm, Pobjeda daily writes.
“On Monday, we received 50 out of 400 required boxes with delay. Furthermore, Montefarm announced the delivery of another 40 boxes for Tuesday, and the additional 100 ones by the end of the week,” the Clinical Centre explained.
According to the information of the Oncology Institute of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, as soon as they get the medication, patients will be able to come and get it.
