Podgorica police have managed to solve a series of thefts in Podgorica and Danilovgrad, the perpetrators of which were Sasa (19) and Sanja (18) Dasic, siblings from Kosovo, Dnevne Novine newspaper reports.
Both of them were arrested and remanded in prosecutorial custody. They admitted the crimes they were charged with and police are examining their possible involvement in other unsolved offenses.
According to unofficial information, the Dasics were busted after they stole a Wolksvagen Passat car worth €6,000 in Danilovgrad. That same night, they took Danish registration plates from an Opel Astra car which was located several streets away. They put the stolen plates on the stolen car and drove away to Niksic.
However, in addition to this theft, police realised that the couple was behind two robberies of D.Dz.’s house in Podgorica. They stole a chainsaw, a lawn mower, the most of home appliances and a wallet with €360 in it.
