Ski center Kolašin 1600 ready for opening weekend

Kolašin 1600 ski center will open its door to the lovers of white sports on February 16th, said director Saša Jeknić. Bjelasica will thus get a brand new ski area with two – red and blue pistes.

Ski passes on Savin kuk will amount to EUR 12 and EUR 8 for children. The annual ski passes for the residents will be EUR 100, whereas all elementary school pupils from Kolašin will get it free of charge throughout the whole season.

The ski center Kolašin 1600 sunny slopes sit at an altitude 2,800m, with 1,600m (the lowest point for skiing) up to 2,035m – the ski area’s high point. Carrying capacity of a cableway is 2,600 skiers per hour and the center is offering 200 parking lots.

Although avalanches can occur at any slope given the right conditions, the ski center management has taken into account all the possible scenarios and engaged rescuers of the Red Cross in Kolašin, who possess relevant international licences, to ensure visitors’ safe skiing adventures.
