Slavko Stojanovic retiring

According to sources of this media Stojanovic offered his resignation at the end of February and planned to retire then, but after consultations his request was denied.

„Consultations about his successor have already begun. An interview was done with several potential candidates, but their name will not be published yet”, said Dan’s source.

Stojanovic is the head of the police since February 2013 when minister of internal affairs Rasko Konjevic suggested him as a temporary director of Police directorate. A couple of months later, in June of the same year, he was officially named a chief of Montenegrin police upon suggestion by Konjevic. Stojanovic spent his entire working life in police, and he covered many positions.
