Construction of three small hydro power plants in the Mojanska rijeka watercourse in Andrijevica is entering its final phase, says the report of the supervision authority.
Projected deadline for the completion of works is the end of September. These days, machines are being installed.
The concessionaire, “Small Hydro Power Plant Mojanska” from Andrijevica announced that around 20 residents would be employed on watercourses, where they would be supervising and safeguarding hydro power plants, maintaining road infrastructure and cleaning riverbeds. Total installed capacity of small hydro plants amounts to 3,37 megawatts. They are expected to produce around 11 gigawatt hours of energy annually.
“Kutska i Mojanska” consortium submitted on 24 July request for the six-month extension of the second phase of the Realization plan.
Considering that the Government has reached a model concession agreement, the proposal for the contract which extends the deadline for the completion of works has been prepared.
The concessionaire pointed out that it had invested considerable amount of time in harmonizing and establishing stable cooperation with residents who owned estates nearby.
“Particular problem with the implementation of this project was the construction of electric infrastructure which will provide connection of hydro power plants as it required changes in planning and technical requirements. All this created a need for drawing up a contract on the extension of the established deadline”, reads the Information.
