SNP owes €300,000, Milic and Jonica are obstructing Jokovic

Vladimir Joković

The Socialist People’s Party (SNP) owes at least €300,000, the party leader Vladimir Jokovic said at the latest SNP executive board sitting.

Several sources told Pobjeda that Jokovic expressed deep concern about SNP’s finance and recommended some consolidation measures

The debts were accrued mostly in the past four years.

“The members are aware of the financial situation in the party and the board proposed consolidation measures,” SNP said in a statement released after the sitting. However, the party did not mention the exact amount of the debt.

The Pobjeda’s source said that the consolidation implied austerity measures on all levels and salary cuts. Earlier introduced measures stipulated minimum wages amounting to €193.

Former SNP leader Srdjan Milic and former MP Snezana Jonica didn’t attend the sitting again. They have been boycotting them ever since Jokovic became the leader. Despite their obstruction, Jokovic managed to establish a stable majority in the executive board, with the support of 70 of the 127 members, the source said.
